Viruses, Spyware & Malware
It is essential that you have up to date anti-virus software installed and running on your computer. With todays 'always on' broadband connections, you are at a much greater risk of being infected with a harmful virus that could corrupt your computer making its performance slow, erratic and unpredictable. In the worst instance these harmful files can render your computer unusable.
It is also crucial that you are protected against other harmful files on the internet that can be categorised as 'spyware' and 'malware'. These type of harmful files are not recognised by your anti-virus program and can unfortunately cause as much damage as viruses.

* To ensure maximum protection against online threats, keep the programs up to date by using the scheduler tool within each program

Child Protection
To protect your children when they're online subscribe to In Loco Parentis. ILP eliminates the risk of inappropriate material from the internet and online chatrooms. You can see the websites your children have visited, create full logs of any chat conversations, build libraries of words to be blocked, and monitor their online behaviour. You can also set actions to be taken when when violations occur.
